Support the Mission
I run races to raise money for Breakthrough T1D — the world's leading organization funding research for a Type 1 diabetes cure.

I'm not currently running an active fundraiser, but you can always donate directly to Breakthrough T1D in my honor.
Donate to Breakthrough T1DAbout Breakthrough T1D
Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) is the world's leading nonprofit organization funding Type 1 diabetes research. They've been instrumental in developing the technologies that make living with T1D manageable today — continuous glucose monitors, insulin pumps, and closed-loop delivery systems.
But they're not stopping there. Their research pipeline is focused on disease-modifying therapies and, ultimately, a cure. Every dollar raised goes directly to funding that work.

I have Type 2 diabetes — but I fundraise for Breakthrough T1D. Why? Because diabetes doesn't care what type you have, and neither do I. I've seen firsthand how much technology has changed what's possible for people managing blood sugar every day.
Running gives me a platform to ask people to join this fight. A marathon is 26.2 miles of asking "can you match my effort?" Even a small donation is a statement that you believe this disease should be cured — for everyone.
I run so others won't have to count carbs at 2am, or wonder if their pump site failed, or carry glucose tabs everywhere they go. I run for a future where T1D is history.
